Overview

◯ We were able to disseminate knowledge on the aging situation of A-bomb survivors to local medical personnel involved in the medical treatment of A-bomb survivors in the area.

◯ We were able to share the latest knowledge on the effects of A-bomb radiation that Hiroshima has as well as the knowledge obtained through the "Fukushima Health Management Survey" conducted by Fukushima Prefecture after the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake.

◯ Local doctors and others who attended the workshop said, "I was able to learn about the situation of the A-bomb survivors." "It was meaningful to learn the latest knowledge about the effects of radiation." "I was interested to hear that there were not only physical effects but also psychological effects when evacuating from the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident. As a psychiatrist, I would like to do my own research." "I learned that the research results of the Radiation Effects Research Foundation are being used all over the world. I would like to express my respect to the researchers."
