As 72 years have passed from Atomic bombings and atomic bomb survivors have been aging even more, it is more required to improve the environment in which the survivors living abroad are able to take appropriate medical care free from anxiety on a daily basis.
In light of this situation, HICARE conducted the seminar about medical care for A-bomb exposed in San Francisco on the occasion of medical checkups and consultation of A-bomb survivors in North America implemented by Hiroshima Prefectural Government and Hiroshima Prefectural Medical Association.
The purposes of this seminar are follows.
-To improve the understanding about medical care for aging A-bomb survivors among local medical personnel and strengthen collaboration with them.
-To introduce HICARE medical personnel training program.

-We were able to promote understanding on medical care for aging A-bomb survivors and on the significance of health checkup and counseling for them among medical personnel who may work with A-Bomb survivors.
-We could notify HICARE’s activities especially training program to local medical personnel and the medical association.
-Several participants showed their will to apply for the HICARE training program and engage in care for A-bomb survivors.
-Some participants also offered their help to disseminate our program.
