The Hiroshima International Council for Health Care of the Radiation-exposed(HICARE) intends to help Hiroshima, as the site of the tragedy of the first atomic bombing in human history, to contribute to the world and promote international cooperation, by establishing a system for the effective utilization of the accumulated expertise in treating A-bomb survivors as well as research on the effects of A-bomb radiation, for the medical care of radiation-exposed people both in Japan and overseas.
