My stay in Hiroshima, from September 22 to September 28, 2006, was highly productive. It took place on schedule and exactly as planned; I evaluate it very highly. I was especially impressed by the lectures of Dr. Masaharu Hoshi, Dr. Kenichi Arita, and Dr Hideo Sasaki.
During my stay, I was able to visit the Peace Memorial Park, Peace Memorial Museum, and Miyajima Island, touching Japanese history at each location and deepening my understanding of Japanese culture.
The smooth and punctual nature of the training was due to the leadership and exemplary efficiency of the HICARE staff, guiding me from one place to the next, utilizing our time together most effectively.
In conclusion, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the HICARE as well as related parties.

I am a deputy head physician at the Consulting Educational Center of the Semipalatinsk State Medical Academy. My duties include all activities with regard to diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of surgical patients in the Semipalatinsk region of East-Kazakhstan Oblast. As a surgeon, I take part in surgical procedures (annually about 70 operations). I am interested in the surgical treatment of patients with vascular disorders and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Due to past nuclear testing, compared to other regions of the Kazakhstan, the mortality rate of patients afflicted by the above is quite high.
