A training session at the Radiation Effects Research Foundation
The trainee receiving a certificate of completion from her training instructor, Assistant Department Chief Tomonori Hayashi of the Department of Radiobiology/Molecular Epidemiology, Radiation Effects Research Foundation at her Training Completion Ceremony.
I think that the HICARE training is an excellent opportunity for researchers outside Japan to learn about radiation and experience and understand the treatment of patients suffering from radioactive disorders. Through the training, I was able to learn new research techniques on the effects of radiation and acquire many practical skills. In addition, the training has changed my perspective on research itself and improved my understanding of qualitative research. I met many experienced researchers and doctors during the training. Through the network I formed with them, I am assured that I can receive a proper advice from them when I face a question in my research in Latvia. I thank HICARE for giving me the opportunity to visit Hiroshima and receive this training. I hope that many more young researchers will be able to receive support from HICARE and participate in this training.
With researchers of the Radiation Effects Research Foundation on the last day of the training
