Comments:

I came, I saw, and I became fond of Hiroshima.

First of all, I would like to send my most sincere thanks to President Dohy, Dr. Kodama, Dr. Katayama, and the staff of HICARE for providing me with this opportunity.

I would also like to thank Dr. Usui for inviting me to the symposium held on January 24. The symposium was attended by 200 persons including those concerned with radiation treatment.

Moreover, I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Yuzan Fujita, Governor of Hiroshima Prefecture, for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet me, through the arrangement of Mr. Yahata and other persons concerned. At that time, I invited him to the 100th anniversary of immigration to Brazil to be held in Sao Paulo.

At the anniversary, a sister-city relationship will be established between HMA (Hiroshima Prefectural Medical Association; Dr. Usui) and APM (Associacao Paulista de Medicina; Dr. Curi). On the occasion, I will attend the anniversary to serve as a mediator in the affiliation between the two medical associations.

The training that I received was more fruitful than I expected. I met those involved in the administration of Hiroshima Prefecture and Hiroshima City. I was deeply impressed by the meeting with Dr. Yamada, Dr. Katayama, Dr. Sasaki, Dr. Kamada and Dr. Dohy.

I advise trainees who will come to Hiroshima City to acquire Japanese and English skills to make more use of their experience and research in Hiroshima.

Lastly, I urge people around the world to help prevent the tragedy of Hiroshima, which occurred on August 6, 1945, from happening again on the earth.

I pray for the peace and happiness of people in Hiroshima and throughout the world.
I am deeply grateful to people whom I met in Hiroshima.

I won't forget them.
I won't forget Hiroshima!
